The Contact Creek showing is underlain by Pennsylvanian volcanic rocks and Permian limestone of the Stikine Assemblage

The Contact Creek grid was established in 1990 to investigate the potential of a poorly exposed “bleached argillite" where, a 1989 grab sample yielded a value of 3.55 grams per tonne gold (Assessment Report 19516, 20791). Grab samples and chip samples taken from the same outcrop gave low values for base and precious metals, as did all other samples taken within the Contact Creek grid. There are, however, some soil geochemical anomalies within the grid area, suggesting that other mineralization may be present.

See JD-I (104G 141) for details of the Scud River property work history, active from 1988-1991.
